Description: In 2024, the Giddings Chamber began designing a vibrant new website for both chamber and tourism audiences to launch by end of December, crafted with Growthzone’s platform. Featuring an engaging color palette, stunning photography, and updated functionalities, the site significantly enhances user experience and community engagement.

Objectives:
The new Giddings website was designed to better serve local businesses and visitors by offering enhanced features such as online forms, payments, and account management for added convenience. It functions as a comprehensive hub with online registration, sponsorship opportunities, specialty pages, and a digital calendar, making it easy to find local events and attractions. Since its launch, user engagement has increased, with sessions per user up by 11% and pageviews rising by 52%, while colorful graphics and social media links encourage visitors to explore more.

Project Costs: The cost for developing the website through Growthzone was approximately $10,000. Fortunately, there were no additional expenses for photography, as the Giddings Chamber has an in-house photographer. This investment has helped create a professional, engaging online presence at a reasonable cost.

Design & Brand Implementation
The website’s creative layout integrates Rockwall’s visual identity—from our scenic lakefront and historic downtown to our music-friendly brand—with stunning imagery, playful typography, and warm tones that reflect our welcoming charm. Custom video headers and engaging photography draw visitors in immediately, allowing them to experience Rockwall’s story through a modern, emotionally compelling lens.
Functionality & User Experience
Our enhanced filtering system allows users to search for events, restaurants, hotels, and attractions based on interests, proximity, and type. The interactive events calendar auto-updates from our partner database, keeping visitors in-the-know year-round. A dynamic mapping feature gives users turn-by-turn access to points of interest, while our “Trip Builder” encourages user-personalization by letting them save and share itineraries.
Technological Innovation
The site features adaptive content modules powered by user behavior and seasonal campaigns. Built on a scalable CMS, it integrates seamlessly with CRM tools and third-party lead capture for group servicing. The back-end analytics allow for deep visitor behavior insights, helping optimize future campaigns.
